I found a bunch of 2001 thru now for .50 & 1.50 At the Goodwill store. I looked at Fabric Trend Sat. I liked it but I ended up buying McCall Quilting.

I have stopped getting mine. There are so many free downloads for beautiful quilts and the quilting board is so great to keep us informed on neat things. I look at them on the racks and if one is really interesting, I will just buy one now and then.

I was so excited when I got back into quilting. I used to love to look at quilting magazines, and I bought up several new ones. They all look the same - same fabric combinations, colors, patterns. I won't be buying any more either.

I used to have several subscriptions and then picked up even more if something on the cover struck me as interesting...I've dropped all of them! All of you are right...same patterns in different colors. I went through all my old magazines, tore out the patterns and articles I like and organized them into binders according to technique. I think I must have enough patterns that I want to make to last me three lifetimes...so I really don't need doubles or re-runs that are in the magazines! I really am trying to justify this cut from my hobby budget...sounds good doesn't it???

Funny you should bring up this topic. I did not renew my F&P subscription. They keep trying to entice me with deals. They are mostly ads anymore.

Like so many others, I go to B & N and look at quilting mags thinking maybe I'll find a good one to buy. HA! None at all in months; thinking the same as I've been reading here. Too expensive, too. The current issue of Stitches looks pretty good this time, for a change (to my likes); also too $$.

Australian quilt mags look good to me and too $$. And, I like some of Quiltmania - $20 @ B & N. So, I wonder - is it, perhaps, that the grass looks greener on the other side? (hehehe) It does seem the Aussies are getting creative quality in their quilt mags.

The quilty blogs have a lot of very creative and sharing people and fun to find.

The QB seems to keep me most up-to-date and educated from wonderful sharing and giving people. As well, I enjoy getting a different perspective and point-of-view from my limited thinking. I'm thankful for all of you.

Do you ever find that just when you're going to stop renewing a subscription they have a beautiful quilt on the cover that you just HAVE to make, and then the future copies have nothing you are interested in?
