Also at the dollar store, you can get the square zip type storage bags...great for storing quilts and fabric.

I use them for squares & strips of all sizes that I cut from all leftover scraps to use in scrappy quilts someday.

The two gallon size also works great for freezing a pie. I make apple pies when apples are abundant and cover with foil and then put in the two gallon bags and freeze.

I love the Hefty 2.5 gal as well. I use them for ufos and washed fabrics.

Ever try Dollar Tree. They have 2 storage bags with zip tops for a buck. And 3 large bags for a buck.

Our charity quilt group also makes flannel blankets for newborns at the local hospital. We use the 2 gallon size bags from the dollar store to package them, along with a matching knit cap that another group makes, and sometimes a onesie or sleep and play pj. Makes a nice gift for some of the poorer parents in the community. The nurses decide who needs them. We also make quilts for the top of the isolettes in the NICU and the folded small quilts also fit in the 2 gallon bag.
