It's the Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. The one from the 30s that uses the little hexs. I'm sorta starting one. They take FOREVER...LOL! :D

Ahhh, OK! Well, speaking of that....I actually dug two boxes out of hiding this past week.

One is a OBW (one block wonder) that I did a class on about 4 yrs ago. I got all the half hexes sewn and could never figure out a way I wanted to put them together. I found another thread on here about OBW and it inspired me to dig that one out. Its now hanging on a design wall and I have started sewing the strip sets together  All thanks to some new friends here on QB. :)

I also dug down a box from the closet that has about a million hand sewn (by me) flower garden blocks that I started 20 yrs ago when traveling back and forth a lot when my dad got sick. I spend a couple of hours 2 nights a week watching tv with my husband and/or daughter. I finally decided to get these out and work on them instead of feeling like a deadbeat couch potato...lol. I had started sewing some together back then and for the life of me could not remember why I was putting them together the way they were. Sooooo, I have spent some time taking hand stitching out of some...hand stitching is a much bigger pain in the butt to remove than machine stitching

This weekend I plan on working a bit on both of these but focusing mostly on matching up a few more Boom f8's with my fabric and block patterns!

We may get some bad weather coming in here soon and get off work early. Sewing would be a great way to spend a Friday afternoon

I'm also waiting on my new 12.5" square ruler and some new quilting notions to arrive. Plus I ordered some new dies for my AccuQuilt Go that will come in Monday!

Nice Blocks!! CHQ :) These are going to make a lovely quilt!:)

What is the name of the block from AnnT? I love it! I have a pattern for a similar one, but that one is even better!
It looks like the double T from Quilter's Cache...here's the link. She didn't tell me the name or where she got it! Ann????
http://www.quilterscache.com/D/DoubleTBlock.html
By the way...I love it, too!
I took a closer look myself. It is essentially that block, but the construction is a little different. The center is one square. So...The top row from left to right is: one HST block, two flying geese blocks and another HST block.
the center row left to right is two flying geese, center square, and two more flying geese
The bottom row is the same as the first...HST, two flying geese, and HST...hope this helps
Sorry, I should have sent my reply this way. This website still confuses me. Any it is the Capital T block. Glad you like it. I really like piecing it.
