Sorry for your loss, and welcome to the board. You just have to be kind of careful how you cut up the shirts so you get the most fabric from them

Sorry for your loss. Many people make quilts out of clothes and ties and t shirts.

WElcome to the board from Oregon. Sorry for your loss. I made one last year and buit in a couple of houses in two corners - one with a dog applqued on the front and one with a cat. Added a homey touch. Also like the one I saw with hearts incorporated. You can use several different blocks and make it any size you want. Good luch to you.

I agree, if they are cotton it would be best, but if they are polyester blend, you might want to use some backing material. Also, you might want to incorporate some photos into the quilt blocks.

Involve your daughters in the process, it will be a healing memory. Have fun quilting and please post a picture when you are done. We would love to see it.
