That is the way I learned to PP. Only instead of scoring with the seam ripper, I use a tracing wheel and lightly go over the lines before folding them all like in the tut. Also I use a "1/4 inch" ruler that has a little lip on it to go up next to the folded paper to cut the 1/4 inch seam. (the picture below). Another perk to this tutorial, is that you can use the pattern possibly up to 4 times before it won't stick down any more since you are not sewing on the lines, only sewing just next to them. Also saves from having to rip all the paper from the stitching.
GREAT TUTORIAL!

[quote=hobbykat1955][quote=Surfergirl][quote=Qbee]Surfergirl....TOO CUTE! I have a question..how do ya'll cut the little itty pitty pieces for applique like the little paws on your kitty??? And then how do you sew/applique it on there? It's SO cute but it scares me to death....LOL!
I use fusible web for small pieces. Then use a 1.5mm blanket stitch to secure these pieces. Remember, if you don't like it, the fused piece will come off easily. I am printing the farmhouse pieces on tracing paper. It works like the PP paper but is cheaper.
I cut the seam allowance before I stitch. These helps position the pieces. My montra place, trim, sew, press.
What gorgeous work everyone is doing!

I love that ruler. I have both the 1/4 inch for regular size paper piecing and 1/8 inch for miniature quilt paperpiecing. Tools worth the investment.

I need some ideas from ya'll though. I am stuck on making my farmhouse white for some reason but I want a snowy wintery scene to match my Church. Someone commented on my church about how cute it would be to make them all winter and make a Christmas quilt and I love the idea...so...if you were going to do a snow scene...what color would you make your little farm house? Here is my church so you can get an idea of what I'm trying to match. Thanks everybody!!
