Your quilt is beautiful. It feels good to be able to quilt again and think about the things you used to do together. Quilting seems to help. Hope to see you in March.

Thank you for sharing your lovely quilt with us. It will be like having your hubby wrap his arms around you when you snuggle it. There's nothing like having some tangible/material item from your loved one that has passed away to touch.

I kept and old flannel shirt that my Dad wore after he passed away. I'd put that on whenever I needed a "Daddy fix" and to just feel his protection around me. After my mom passed away, I got to have her robe. I wear that for the same reason I wore my Dad's shirt.

Peace be with you while you carry on into the next chapter of your life.

Sincerely,
Melba

one day at a time---my heart goes out to you, I have been where you are now. I think it was fantastic that you made this quilt in his memory. When you look at it or snuggle under it, you will feel his love and warmth. I know your heart is broken, but it will get better. Just remember not to shut out family and friends--they will be your rock. And keep on quilting, it is great therapy and because that quilt is gorgeous!!!! Great job.

I am sorry for your loss.
You may have more healing going on than you realize, but it is our love of life and living that makes the loss of a loved one such a burden.
If it is any comfort, the testimony that I have received from many survivors is: there is comfort in wrapping up in a quilt their loved one either owned or designed.
Our memories are sort of God's gift of solace - - so much of who we are is wrapped up in those who influenced us along the way. We should never have to apologize for loving the memories almost as much as we loved the person who helped create them. this quilt is the evidence that your husband was as interested in what you were doing as you are. A very special gift, indeed <wave>

So sorry for your loss. I lost my husband to cancer 18 years ago and some days it feels like yesterday. Time will help. Glad you have the quilting to help.
