Welcome from Wyoming. Good luck with your new adventure. I love Missouri. Lived there many, many years ago. People were very friendly.

I am 1/2 Czech. My ex-husband was 100%. I am originally from Iowa where there is a large community of Czech people. I know there is also a lot of Czech people in NE. Have you been to the Czech Republic? I haven't but my daughter lectured at Charles University in Prague for 6 months and has been back several times since.

Both sets of my grandparents came from Prague, Czechoslovakia, but haven't been able to 'track back' (you know how it was back then....NOBODY talked about it). My hsb is of German descent, with a little Czech that he won't admit to. lol I only know a little of the czech language, but always thought it was fun to learn new words. Yak-si-mash? [How are you?](only for spelling pupose). When growing up, my mother would bake something and tell me to take it over to Grandpa's house. When I got there, handed him the goodies, he would say 'that' and I would respond "Dobje" [I am fine] and he would point for me to sit, like to maybe have conversation......but he could only speak czech and I couldn't!!!!! So no conversation and I would just go back home. A nice memory, tho.
