where can I buy thin vellum for PP?

I guess that I am surprised that this is called "vellum". Shows you how much I know! I have used the thin paper made for PP, which may be printed on. I scanned my design and printed it out rather than hand drawing each page etc. I also learned on this site to use a very small stitch so that the paper tears more easily. Good luck. I hope you find the perfect solution and that you will let us all know how well it works.

I don't use vellum. I use doctor's exam table paper. Its transparent, comes on a roll with lots and lots of length. The draw back is its not printer friendly. What I do is needle punch the pattern. want more info contact me privately

You might want to consider cheap typing paper. That's what I've used with success.
I woiuld avoid the "commercial" pp paper sold at quilt stores.
Way too over priced.
I have used "tracing paper" and that also is sold bound
Go to your local office supply and look around.
Once you get going on it, you might want to try Marjorie Rhine's Painess Paper Piecing..

You do use the paper piece pattern, but don't actually sew THROUGH the paper. People who have tried it swear they won't go back to the old way.
