I would also guess it is a cartoon character. It's kind of cute. It would make fun pajamas!

Its different, but I like it too. Maybe make a dresser mat for a kids room?? Or maybe potholders.

Love it! I would fussy cut domes and use colorful dresden pattern. Keep us posted on what you decide.

Okay very funny. All your ideas came to me also as I gazed at this. I too would stack and whack it. Surprises are always fun with our " what the heck was I thinking." I am assuming you did NOT buy this. Good luck

You have to make blocks because you don't want it to be so consistent that the middle one is always upside down, etc.

Hmmmm....does look like a production piece. You can use it though. It would make a cute quilt for a child. You could cut 24cm squares. This would put a picture in the center of each square and not loose any fabric in the process. It would look good with a sashing....maybe red. I don't know how much you have. If you don't have enough for an entire top, you could alternate with a solid square or 4 patch. good luck. I'd love to see a picture of the finished product whatever you decide to do.
