I have had three different sewing rooms in my home. I currently have a wonderful room my DH fixed up for me. It not only has lots of cabinets for storage it also has a kitchenett for when I make candles. I have a small apartment size stove and a small refrigerator. I have a tv and dvd player. My "L" shaped sewing counter has white peg board on the walls for my thread and sewing notions. I have a shelf for my books and a rack for my patterns. The only problem is I have already outgrown it. I guess until I get a quilting barn I'll have to get rid of some items. Really enjoyed reading about everyones rooms and pics were great.

When I posted this I never expected to get this much response. I have enjoyed reading each and every comment and the pics are fantastic. It has been giving me ideas. My dad has finally agreed to adding on to my bedroom when I get the money. I will get another 10x12 or 12x12 addition! So all of your pics will help me immensely when the time comes. I'm the kind of person that draws everything out at least one hundred times or more before I get it to look like what I want it to. Guess I need to buy another sketch pad!!!

I have a "nook"...I guess it's a room but it doesn't have a door...it's a small area off of the kitchen between the kitchen and the laundry room...not as big as the one I had in our last house but it has two windows, a lot of light and enough space for now :)

I have a sewing room about 13x14 it is really very nice but
I am growing out of it. Just today I cleaned out my linen closet and took 1 and a 1/2 shelves. I also have a dresser in the spare bedroom closet.

Now the kids have left home, I have one of the spare bedrooms as a workroom. It seemed big to begin with but now I feel I want to push the walls out to make more space! Our house also has two lofts and one is mine, filled with the overflow!

I have a room that was originally a study of sorts. There are floor to ceiling bookshelves, some with books, others with my stash. It was origianlly carpeted, but my DH tore it out and put in a bamboo floor. He built a wall to wall oak counter top with some storage cupboard and three "holes" for my chairs at the embroidery machine, the sewing machine and the serger. The long arm quilter is set up at 5 foot. When I need the ten foot length, I have to set up in the living room. I have wall paper border in the room with old sewing machines and fabric with a cat stretched out on it. I LOVE MY ROOM!
