Funny. I too had my first child on December. At least you got the tax deduction.
I have to chuckle ... my grandparents would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary this past 12/31 and my mother turned 61 this past 12/29 (and the stories go that he took Grammie out on every dirt road in the area to get his deduction)

Not a wedding anniversary but I also got engaged on Valentine's Day waaaaaay back in 1968. We then got married in August just after working jobs for the Summer but just before we started our senior year in college. It was the only time we could fit the wedding in our schedule. Three kids and a life time later, we are still married .... and to each other!!! lol

24 years for us, also! Just was thinking today what our wedding day was like....weather wise. LOL! It was a fair winter day. Not really cold here, but snow on the ground. And we wore winter coats. To celebrate yesterday (14th) we both took the day off and went NE of here about 70 miles and and just mulled around in some thrift stores, Goodwills, Cabellas, variety stores. The weather was in the high 40's and we walked about in long sleeve shirts. It was a great day.

Too funny. We got married in NYC and it was sooo cold! I refused to wear a coat so just used my dress. We had a shoe issue. The next day the temps were below zero and my shoes were not warm enough. Jorge's feet were swollen and didn't fit into his shoes either. Yesterday we couldn't celebrate, since I had school all day and a big test today. He cooked for me, though. I may cook for him over the weekend.
