Pretty nifty!! Thank you!!
º ¢
I knew another Mac user would know! I also have Windows XP as Boot Camp allows two operating systems and my Pfaff embroidery machine won't talk to Snow Leopard, which is where I am right now. Will have to try it in XP next time I log in on that side. Thanks again, Apple user!

Another symbol is the cents '¢' symbol. Simply press down the 'Alt' button with one hand, punch in the numbers 155, release the 'Alt' button and like magic the cent '¢' symbol will appear.

I hope this helps someone, it is just a little knowledge and timesaver.
¢º YEHHHHHH it works!! Now if I can remember it!

Thanks for the thread ~amazing what we can have fun with away from cutting and sewing.
I’m working with a Mac: Shift+Option+k =  I used Command+D to make it a different size. Good way to change fonts too.

¢ = Option+4
° = Shift+Option+8 º = Option+0
List at http://www.nouilles.info/keyboard_shortcuts.html

Now I need to print up a Hint Sheet with all the info and keep it close to the computer.

If you have a different system that doesn’t work with any of the mentioned hints try a Google Search – ‘Name your machine + symbol short cuts. That’s how I found this listing for my Mac.

I try to learn something new every day. I can hardly wait to show my grandchildren. They will be soooo impressed.
