We were pushing for 50, but he left me (died) at 40. Fantastic 40, though. Congrats on yours.

We will celebrate 48 years on July 17. Sometimes I would like to trade him in, but there is no salvage value after this long and no rebates....so I guess I'll keep him a lot longer.

We have been married 52 years. Married in Oklahoma, finished college, moved to Kansas, then to Michigan. DH taught chemistry + physics for 30 yeras. It has been a journey. I wish young people today understood that it is sometimes hard work to stay together, but well worth it. Now that the kids are raised, we time to enjoy each other.
With so many widowed friends, I thank God for every day we have together.

we have 35 1/2, of which 30 years he was a Cleveland police officer. Not an easy job and not many stay married. He is set to retire in April and I hope we can stay together during the retirement years too! LOL.
I may loose some quilting time if he's home more. :-(

Congratulations! It takes a lot of love and commitment for two people to stay together for such a long time. I think my husband is the best thing that ever happened to me--and we'll celebrate our 54th anniversary on May 4th of this year! Best wishes to both of you!
