We have Bloom Foods here and they had chicken thighs on sale about a month ago for 49 cents per pound. Did I ever load up. DH said he doesn't like dark meat and took them out of basket. I told him I didn't care and put them back in. He has been having soup, burritos, salads etc with them and never complains. Wish I had gotten more!!

for sirloin steaks, buy a sirloin tip roast and cut it across the grain into about 1" thick slices. Yah!! You not only have steaks, but they cost about 1/3 or less than steaks.

I'm in Illinois, and we have plenty of both. I use to take food to my son when he lived in Florida.

My husband is a dark meat eater - thighs, legs whether chicken or turkey. His question is - there are so many white meat meals out there - chicken breasts, turkey breasts - what do they do with the dark meat off of those birds?
