That is the way I also grew up. No crafts allowed on Sunday and no going to the movies. I don't go by the no sewing on Sunday rules.♣

How about..... "he fell out of a stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down". Or if you don't want to get in on an arguement..."I don't got a dog in that race". we say catty wampus for kitty corner. As someone else said, if you live in the south they are a part of everyday conversation.

Cat's meow. The younger kids use LIKE for everyother word. When I was teaching a few years ago, it was, 'She goes, He goes' and I would say--Where are they going? Or people say, 'You know' all of the time.
