Hey ladies! It's been a few months since I've been online...
I just got a gingher rotary cutter for my birthday... and it's BEAUTIFUL!!! -the only problem is that I'm a leftie, and I can't use a right-handed cutter.
I have only been using a fiskars up to this point, and the blade will attach on both sides, but this one only attaches on one side, rendering this beautiful tool useless to me.
I don't want to bother the person who gave it to me; I'd like to go that option as a last resort; she may have purchased it online.

I called Gingher; they do sell a left-handed cutter, and said I should check with JoAnn because they are the largest distributor of the brand, to see if they could swap it out for me.

I called the 2 JoAnn stores closest to me, first to talk to a twit who was saying I could return it for store credit for the lowest selling price in the last 90 days (I don't WANT to return it! I want one that I can use!), and then couldn't even tell me if they HAD a left-handed one, so when when I asked her to please check, she said they had a fiskars cutter that you could switch the blade to the other side... ugh. Are you listening to me?! That's like someone telling you Bernina people to switch to a Walmart Singer.. kind of. :) IT'S NOT THE SAME THING!!
So I called the next store, only to find out that JoAnn's doesn't carry a left-handed cutter with any frequency, and they apparently don't do exchanges any longer.

SO, does anyone have any suggestions for me?! Love ya!

Is this it?

Slick.

And that's a dirt cheap price. Actually, there are even cheaper prices.

And, of course, I have absolutely no need for another cutter.

So, if you buy that one at that price, I'll buy the right hand one from you plus shipping, so you'll be recoup all your money, and have the left hand cutter.

Of course, you could just buy that one, and sell the other one for even more on the board.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'd be happy to buy it from you too. I have one and it's fantastic. You have to buy the Gingher rotary blades for it to continue to cut so great. The blades have a teflon coating. You don't have to of course, the cutter will take regular blades but just know they won't be like using the original blade that came with it.

Contact Fiskers. Fiskers and Gingher have a connection. I think they are same company. Had problem with Fiskers scissors and they took care of problem very quickly, with no hassle. Posted a comment a few days ago about Fiskers.
Give them try.

I just purchased a Martelli rotary cutter. When you purchase, you select either right or left hand. It is the best cutter I have ever used and the blades seem to last forever. It is a little pricey, but is well worth the cost because of comfort and the blades. If interested, google Martelli and it will take you to the site. :)

Good to know, thanks for the heads-up.

Pricey. But I'm guessing (hoping) Joann's probably sells them as well, and they are couponable.
