    Wanted to wait till we knew gender to decide whether or not to use the pink . . . Baby due mid-April! I challenged myself to try free motion outline quilting in the center fabric.

    That is so cute and you did a great job quilting. Is the checkerboard border pieced?

    Yes, it's pieced. I was pleased to have found the dotted fabrics that matched so nicely. Not the same line of fabrics. I also liked the colors in the backing fabric but was a bit anxioux about using a stripe. It's not perfectly square, but I don't expect to be showing it to the "quilting police".
