Beautiful quilt! I'm really wanting to be able to spread that baby out and see the whole thing. I asked the cat to do it....she didn't :cry:

It looks like you did a great job hand quilting. How long did it take you?

thank you. The hand quilting took me almost a year of sometimes working on it and sometimes not. I marked the pattern as I went along. I did initially mark it all at once but the chalk marks rubbed off and I was left with nothing. I used a varigated pink/purple thread-in the diamonds and pink in the black areas. I thought black wouldn't show up. It took longer because it's hard to see to work on black. I learned alot with this quilt. If I do a dark quilt again I will use a black batting- the bearding shows through at times.

Well, its pretty nonetheless. I learned the dark batting lesson the same way :oops: I guess thats why we always make the next quilt...to use the lesson we just learned :wink:
