. Then to find a layout, I started in the middle and worked out.
The blocks are 8 1/2. The borders were cut 3 1/2 and 5 1/2.
I chain pieced it because I honestly didn't want to cut all those pieces. I started working on it last weekend. I think I have worked on it about 16 hours.[/quote]

Please explain how chain piecing kept you from cutting all those pieces. I don't understand. :?:

Gorgeous! Barnbum has some good ideas, doesn't she? Florals go so well in this pattern.

I just love the colors that you put togather. I really like doing the log cabin quilts, beacause you can put them togather so many differnt ways. I really love the floral. Thats' going to have to be my next project. Lovely job.

I am trying to figure out how to explain it. I learned to quilt watching elenore Burns and that is how she did it.

So do you. But, yours scare me. I had my pattern out and even started picking fabrics and then decided to wait until summer so I can really concentrate. I will do it...I will, I will.

I have never seen one like this before. I love the change to the colors and light. Makes one want to drop everything and begin one, like now.
