Sorry, I'm not going to be any help either, but everyone on this sight is so incredibly helpful and supportive. No doubt you will get what you need sooner or later. All the times I've asked for advice or help I have been over whelmed with kindness.

I have a lot of vintage machines.
Go grab a little featherweight off of ebay - they're easy to use! Get one that's all set up and ready to sew.
I piece and quilt (FMQ) on it.
I also like the other Singers, but the FW is easy to use. :-)
