That sounds like a neat idea, if you don't have room in the house. One thing I like about my big old house,is the small room off the kitchen makes a great room for sewing and my computer. I can keep an eye on what is cooking for dinner and be in here,at the same time.Be sure to have lots of plug-ins installed and good over-head lighting. Sometimes they can run electric heat strips under the flooring for those sheds.Sounds like a world all to your own.Good Luck!

I was tempted to get one with a little porch on it, but you lose about 4' of usable space on the inside, so I opted for the space. I can add a small porch later if I choose. They are really cute that way if you want to add four more feet and more money. I was amazed how much these sheds had gone up in the last few years! We bought a 12' X 16' wooden storage shed about 6 yrs ago and it was about half what we are spending on this one. The metal ones were slightly less, but the wooden ones don't get unbearably hot in the summer or extremely cold in the winter, so it will be easier to heat and cool. We got down in the teens for a few days this past winter, but we'll top 100* this summer!

You need to keep the computer in the house. At least your DH will see you some times. That sounds like a very nice studio. I'm thinking that you will be spending a lot of time out there. Post pictures as you design your room.

We will have a lot to do before I can move all my sewing/quilting stuff from the bedrooms it now occupies to its new home...but I'M EXCITED!! I'll be posting pictures as it comes together!
This is the size of my backroom that I use but I have to share it as a guest room.
