And thank you so much for the pattern - this is such fun! :-D

Love it!
How long did it take you to cut out? Sew?
I'll probably need to multiply it by ten but would like to know how much time to carve out....especially for cutting.
Thanks.

Thanks all, yes I think I'll set it straight. I worked on it yesterday a few hours I think, it's hard to tell as in between I'm doing laundry, cooking dinner, talking to DH, kids etc... you know how it is! LOL PLus I had to do some unsewing because I wrote a couple of measurements down wrong - I had to change out 4 strips in my second set. The only real issue I think was cutting the sections from the joined strips, and mine were only 30" long and I have a 36" mat. In the full size one, cutting across 63" will be tricky. Perhaps it could be done in sections?

Wow, I really like the pink and gray! it seems much easier on the eyes than the black and white.
My daughter really wants to make this quilt, so we are considering colors. I just really don't want to do black and white.

I think any colour and a dark grey would work... mine is pieced and bordered and has come out rectangular! I really messed up the maths with this! Still it's OK I think.
It came out at 39" x 30"

k3n-It looks great with borders on too. Thanks for your tip on cutting something that wide(never even occurred to me)
I would think that any colors with good contrast would work well, not just black and white. I wouldn't do a turquoise and red, or chartreuse and magenta (basically because they would pop against each other and hurt my eyes)
