I would applique a heart or something over the hole also and put some more randomly over the quilt so it doesnt look odd.

I've had that happen to blankets on the bed too. I've got one that I too purposely leave on top cause it's old/ragged just for the critters. At least you take ownership of making the error...he was just being a dog and loving on his bone. You'll remember him every time you look at that spot!

He looks like a big beautiful babe if he's the one in your avatar =)

What a lot of great suggestions! I'm thrilled to see this, since I found a similar hole in a quilt last night as I put it on my bed... Damn dogs. Good thing they're my babies! :roll:

Our fur babies just do what comes naturally to them. I think you will be able to fix it just fine, with a little patience. All the advice contains everything I would have said, and more! You can do this! :lol:
