Beautiful block, I'm glad you used your own idea on fabric, looks real nice. Eq makes it easier, when you print you can get the mirror image for tracing.
I'll have to do that, then. I don't have a problem with my block coming out reversed, but that's a good thing to know for future.

It didn't make a difference for the center,, but will in other blocks..

Hi Peg
I am new to quilting and to this board but I love hand sewing and am definately going to have a go at this quilt. I'm sure it will be a challenge but I am really looking forward to choosing the fabrics and starting. May thanks for posting this pattern. Wren

So, e, are you doing machine applique or needle turn?
I am doing machine applique. Some (flowers and leaves) are fused first and some (stems, berries, flower centers) are turned under before appliqueing using 100 wt silk in a close color with a blind hem stitch. Doing needle turn would mean "hand" work and I try hard not to use 4 letter words - LOL!
