Of course, have been sewing siince I was 5 yrs old. Have made all sorts of clothing & other items, including a wedding dress, jacket. Costumes, alterations, trying my hand at quilting. Working on Hawaiian quilt pieces. Enjoying it.

I've seriously sewn since I was 12. Made all my clothes all through high school. Went on to home decor and anything needing fabric, thread and needle I love.

I did a few craft fairs, stopped for a while and now thinking about getting back into it. Made tree skirts, runners, ornaments and others.

For years, I made all my clothes. I am pretty tall, and back then, tall sizes were so expensive. I made all my son's shirts and several of his suits. When he graduated from high school, I bought him a suit and he hated it. He said it didn't fit him right.

Heirloom sewing is my first love. Quilting is an off shoot of it. I make baptism gowns for the babies in our family. Am thinking about sewing them for sale. Use the "scraps" from these to make accents in my quilts.

I used to sew all my clothes and most of my 2 girls--even the prom dresses. The red chiffon just about ended me.
