This is how mine turned out. I used a greenish blue and white. I am thinking I am going to extend it by half to make it longer before I finish it. The material I used was a polyester that I had purchased really really cheap for some other projects and this was left over. I would not normally choose polly for a quilt but cheap and in my stash was a factor for this project. The material was a pain to work with, lesson learned. The tutorial was great, I had no problems with your measurements. I ended up keeping my ruler next to me and measuring each strip so I would not pick the wrong one as I put thit together.

Michelle that is great! I'm seriously thinking of making another one but full size - how did you handle subcutting the strips? Or did you do sections? Mine is quilted and semi bound, ie I just have to hand sew it to the back, will do that this evening then post tomorrow. I know, I'm SUCH an over-achiever! LOL :mrgreen: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I did not cut my original strips to the correct 37 and 39 inches. I cut the pieces from selvage to selvage then sewed those together. This left me enough length to square up the edge when I cut the selvages off. I only have a 18 by 24 cutting pad so I planned ahead for this. I had to iron everything really flat so that I could fold it twice. (4 layers) I squared up my edge and cut the strips. When I had to move the piece to be able to cut more strips I did have to cut another 1/4 off to make it square again. It may have been easier if I was not using slippery polyester.
