I now have mine cut out and ready for sewing. These pieces are tiny and 292 of them including the border. First time for something like this so iit will be fun putting this together.

Part of my incentive is my daughter's wedding next month -- yesterday I finished three projects. Today I hope to do two more. Gotta "git 'er done!"

I am quilting my DQ but don't have to be in a real hurry to get it mailed to go overseas - this one is going to a 'local' - sadewijn and she is practically a neighbour :)

I have let my top sit for a few days and I am glad that I did...reading all these new posts has made me want to handquilt my little baby. I have not handquilted since I was in Junior Miss 20+ years ago. I did a panel and took up the hobby this past fall. My grandmother was an avid quilter and I hope she is happy with my way of carrying things on.

I started my hand quilting the other day. And am so happy that i did cause it is relaxing doing it! Don't worry about leaving it too long as mine will still take the month to finish

Here is the quilt I received from dotcomdtcm...Dottie in NYC. It is all pinwheels in some of the prettiest red fabrics. Take a look at the cupcake pincushion...doesn't it look delicious!! I do believe I got the first one! Dottie is really on the ball. I'm still working on hers...started one but just couldn't get into it so I've started another. Should be finished and in the mail by the end of the week. Thanks for being such a great swapper!!
