My Husky Star works just fine so I would save the 2000.00 for something else.

I second that comment. More people have told me they do not use/need many of the stitches an electronic machine purpors. Besides, when there is a glitch in the computer stuff, replacement of Mother Board is not cheap.

this is the machine I would buy. I have had one for almost 14 years and have never had a problem with it. They rarely come up for sale, and are a great work horse also does wonderful embroidery. If you bought this you could buy a reader/writer and be able to transfer your deisgns from the computer to the machine....
I would never trade mine in. I also have a Brother Innovis that gets used for larger embroidery designs....

This is a good question. I bought a new Singer Rumina 3400 a few years ago. It has been a good machine for me because it almost threads itself. Everyone at my quilt classes seems to have a Husquavarna though. My sister is selling me a featherweight for a $100. I wonder if it will be useful for classes.
