I will also agree with that. Berninas are the best. I love my Bernina. It is almost 30 years old and it's still going strong. It's also my only machine. I'd like to get a back up...someday 8-)

I'll still go with my Viking!!!! Has all the features you need to do any job. Service can be a problem, but I found a great service tech to do the job. Made the mistake of taking it apart myself to service and ruined the computer module. Cost $400 to repace. Its a workhorse, but I love it!!!!!

I have the 500 puchased in about 20 minutes in November of 1994. I can't even count how many quilts I've made on this machine!

I would get a Bernina One that you can add your embroidery module to at a later date if you want to .If you watch there sales sometimes you can get the embroidery module for 99.00 WITH NEW MACHINE.Make sure you get a machine with everything you want your going to use it a very long time so get a good one.

Viking is the only machine on the market with a jam proof hook. It has a very neat sensor system. You can sew on silk and go right onto blue jeans! You can sew over 8 layers of blue jean fabric and your viking won't hesitate at all.
GOOD LUCK
