You won't be disappointed if you go with a med olive green. It is a wonderful neutral. It will be a beautiful room.

Also take into consideration the lighting that you have. We don't have any overhead lighting so it will make darker colors look even darker. Lighting plays a lot with it. My dad owns a paint store so my mom changed the colors of our home regularly. It is amazing how much the light plays with the color. She painted our kitchen and part of the livingroom one time with the same color. Looked totally different in each room.

Then, replace the wall color with the colors from the swatches.
This is a great idea. Thank you for your suggestion. I love what you did, the colors you used are a great starting point.

My kitchen is done in Grape Leaf and accent wall in Peanut butter. Trim is white, baseboards are brown and cabinets are pecan. The colors really make the 10x10 room look a lot larger than it is..

Since your furnishings are fairly neutral I think you could use anything you liked. I have painted every room in my house. I chose colors I have always liked and toned them down with a greyish undertone. It is really amazing how comfortable I am in every one of the rooms. I really believe colors are very personal and the colors that speak to you will best suit.

You may want to check the "recipe," or colors that are mixed together to make the paint color. I was happy enough to have beige walls when we bought our house several years ago. However, when I began to hang pictures on the walls they quickly looked pink. I discovered at the paint store that the main color was red. My last paint (don't remember the name) has gold, maroon and black and the color is richer, but not too dark and a much warmer color. I also have white trim and doors.

We also have light carpets and dark brown furniture. We've done the mid-green, the "naked barbie" and now a beautiful sky blue, and so far I have to say this one is my favorite! I'm addicted to painting so who knows how long it will last, but I love how fresh it looks against my white trim and window treatments.

When we've picked colors in the past, the ones we've liked the best are typically ones we've matched to a piece of fabric, or the matting in a picture frame, or in one case a perfume sample box -- things we already had and loved. Just something to think about.

I would go for the soft Peach color. I have it and love it and the co-ordinating colors are similar to yours. I love soft colors. I'd tire of deep or bold walls very quickly.
