OMG!! My husband would never let me in that store. I would come out with bolts of fabrics. That is one big store.

Wow, this was fun.. so happy to know about these wonderful stores..

I'm very sad too.. I lived many years in San Diego.. never went to Rosie's because I wasn't quilting then. guess it doesn't matter, I probably saved us a ton of money.. boo-hoo, can't believed I missed my opportunity.....

I've been there and love it!! My daughter lives close by so when we go down to visit, I always make her take me.

Sandy, do you know what street M&L is on in Buena Park? I know of an M&L on Ball Road in Anaheim. Did they move?

Thank you. Was just wondering if there was another one in Buena Park. The blog Sandy posted showed Buena Park also. Guess they meant Anaheim.[/quote]

It's right on the line X the two cities.

The largest quilt store in America is fabricdepot.com. They have over 100,000 items and fabric like you have never seen before. If you cannot find the fabric in a theme that you are searching for, go there. I have been looking for a child's fabric featuring elephants for my future great-grand child.. They had it at Fabric Depot. Prices are also more reasonable.

Hmmm...

I think I need to make a road trip to some of these shops. Nothing near this size in my neighborhood. :-(

I think quality of fabric before I think of quantity. What is the use of quantity if it takes 2-3 times as long to hunt for the good quality fabrics that will last 100 years and are much easier to sew on? I sure learned my lesson with the local Wa-Mart.
