I love this type of quilt. I have used velvets, silks and satins and then embellished them. I do wedding quilts with thought on them such as "LOVE, SHARE, ENJOY, LAUGH" etc. You have lots of room to embroider on them...and then again if you like to embellish with ribbons and special threads, buttons, you can have a ball.
Cotton, or whatever you have on hand. Just make sure they are all the same weight.
Will share one I have done... Am working on 2 others for weddings this year.

Just a peek closer up

Wow, I can see that you did most of your embellishments by hand. I only do them by machine even the buttons if I am able.

I have discovered a use for some of the fantastic yarns that are now available. I crochet them into a chain to increase their volumne and then couch them by machine on to things I want to embelish.

Hi sewsew2, this nothing to do with quilting but to do with your tinkerbell picture. My oldest grand is into tinker (she is 19) lol.She loves your picture. Where from? Thank you.
