Keep at it. You just need to "anticipate your mess". Try taping a small collection bag to your trimming mat and next to the machine.
Keep it the original size-even if you have to strategically place solid squares between. This one is going to be BEAUTIFUL!

Was it worth it?? I think so, it turned out lovely and so what about the mess, the end result is what we are after. Great job, show us more.

It gets easier the more you do! the mess however does not go away. I love to paper piece but hate tearing out the paper

I love it! When I paper piece, I trim/tear right over the top of my 13 gal. trash can and I still have a few pieces hit the floor. lol

It is a lovely block that will make a marvelous quilt. Keep going!
