    my mom has just recently gotten back into quilting, she can turn out a top a month since she has nothing else to do but she says sometimes it makes her sad because she misses her mamma so bad, they spent a lot of time together making quilts. I told her to concentrate on the good memories. Here are a few of her tops and a couple of Grandma's

    I think said this one was called Cumberland, it was in a magazine

    My first reaction to the last quilts description was "JUST flying geese?"

    this is the one that got her restarted, it's a BOM mostly batiks

    this is her version of Shelly Q's building blocks, we shared fabrics so it look a lot like mine

    this is appliqued pansies, Grandma must have enjoyed this pattern because I think there was about 5 of them

    Those are truly beautiful! What wonderful memories those make. Scrappy quilts are my all time favorite!! Thanks for sharing those with us.

    What a feast for the eyes with so much variety of colors and blocks! You are certainly one talented family, it must be in the genes! It's hard to decide but I think the building blocks' quilt is my favorite. Thank you for posting these beautiful quilts. I am always filing away ideas for future quilts in my brain.......
