I also love stale Peeps.... when I buy the packages, I take them home and open them and just leave them like that for 4-5 days. They then are perfect! My children think I am crazy... what do they know????
This is great! More stale Peep lovers than I could ever imagine.
I also love Circus peanuts, they taste like strange bananas.... from my childhood.

I will show my children this thread just to prove Mom and Dad are NOT freaks of nature. There are others that enjoy the really great things in life. Yummmy! Now I am hungry for a stale Peep. But like all things in life you need to wait for the best!
What about stale Fig Newtons? Also yummy. And the cheaper the brand the better.

"They" used to laugh at people who loved old wines.
"They" used to laugh at people who loved fungus that grew underground (Truffles).
"They" used to laugh at people who loved aged fine beef.
"They" used to laugh at people...well, put your own favorite here.
Now "They" pay premium prices for all of these, and believe they are eating the world's finest foods.
What is next, premium aged Peeps? With the mellow Yellow ones being priced higher than the Plumpish Pinks? Will folks
have their pictures taken when they find an old, VERY old package of PEEPS believed lost forever under quilting fabrics!!
Will TV programs send reporters and cameras to show the moment of waiting for that well known "CRUNCH" as the proud owner bites into the first one? Will Peepsalocolics bid on that unopened package on eBay?
Keep tuned in for further notice of Peeps news!!

Another good one stale, Oreo cookies. The more humidity the better. lol I discovered this as a kid, when we went on vacation to the Caribbean and forgot to close up the package. They're much neater this way too.
