I don't have a Dyson but I LOVE my little 8# Oreck. We have a long-haired dog and it works great. I've had it for 5 years with no problems.

It sucks in a good way.

I have both a Dyson and an Oreck. I love the Oreck, especially the little vacuum that comes with it.

I love my Dyson & I have 3 dogs & 2 cats. My dogs are Keeshounds & they are very "furry". My dyson keeps this place clean

I have 3 Dyson cleaners & I love, love them. I live in a 2 storey house (3 floors if you count the basement) so I keep 1 on each floor & have 2 dogs. A sheltie & a golden retriever & boy does the retriever shed a lot & all year long. With the Dysons they do a fantastic job. Very pricey (especially here in Canada) but IMHO worth every penny I spent.

I have two Dysons. Love both. The big one we got when we had a very hairy German Shepherd. Worked great for his hair. Then he went to doggie heaven and I got the Cordless Dyson Slim which works great for our needs now. I can do the whole house and more on a charge, and no cord to fool with. I had several before this, including an Oreck and the repair man explained that the reason the Dyson is so light is because it has a small motor, plus all the dirt had to go through the motor. And with that big bag, it got heavy pretty fast. When it worked. With the heavy duty hair, it didn't work for us. Nor did the Sharp, and something else I can't remember.

I have 2 Dysons, one for downstairs and one for upstairs. They are great for picking up all the threads, we sewers seem to leave around. I have had my first one for 17 years, and is still as good as the day I bought it. I have had it to the repair man once in all that time.

I have had two of them. I have never had any other vacuum work as well or pick up as much. Very easy to use the attachments also. My only wish it that they would make one lighter weight as I have had back surgery and sometimes find it hard to carry 18lbs. up my steps. Otherwise, I love them.
