Thanks Elle! I mastered the art of PP with the Sylvia blocks so I've started with those blocks. Makes me feel like a pro :-P
The ones with nothing but curved seams are scary! I tried one and failed 4 times. I'm not used to sewing such small curved pieces. But I won't give up :D

There is something (smewhere, donīt ask me where) which shows how to do a curved seam.

Basically, start in the middle of your curved piece and instead of putting the pins in long ways as you would usually pin themlong ways so the pins pointed edge is sticking up do this as many times as you need to hold the curve and then I usually tack it. It holds better. Try that and see how you go.

ellie, we will work together, if you want. that way, what one of us doesn't read on these 370 pg, or in the wkly, learning from all those prev DJ's, then maybe the other will catch. pulled an all nighter last nite.

picked out easy ones to begin with. pp most.

sorry. i had been up all nite sewing. i mispoke. i meant to speak to the other lady, anael, who is just starting her quilt. have you posted a picture of your quilt yet? or shared your blocks along? i'll have to check out your posts. to see. congrats on being almost done. i'm not even good with the software yet. can print the patterns, and that's about it. need to learn how to adjust the setting for the trinagles. saw how once, and have seen discussion about it. and to record my piece count. i bet the SW makes it easier to see your quilt as you progress. i see it was authored by the lady who wrote the jane book. and i see she teaches class in shipswannie. ind.
and, you are the lady, who just came back from spain. HOW FUN.....noooo, YOU LIVE IN SPAIN? NEAT....

Oh good...more people making "the QUILT"!! sewNso..you'll do fine. There are a couple more people who are just starting theirs too.

A tip for adjusting the tri in the software....click on the box that says "size from quilt" before you print your pattern. That will make it the 8 x 5 that you need to go with the 4" blocks.

Above all...it is frustrating at times...but its also fun and just look at the beauty you end up with when you finish!

Wow you are keen, staying up all nite sewing. Its quite easy to adjust the size of the triangles. i will try to explain for you.

Quickest way is to Click on View in the DJ software. It comes up with a box at the top of which are Blocks / Motifs /Triangles.
Its the same for blocks or triangles you can adjust the size this way. Click on Block or Triangle then click edit, this brings it on to your screen.
Go to top of the page, Click on File. Then click on Print. Now click Block or Triangle. You will see there is a size adjuster on this page for blocks its 4.5" x 4.5". You can adjust the size of your triangle here. If my memory serves me right its 5" x 8".

Hope that helps.

Yes I live in Spain, love it.

That's ok with me SewNso. I won't sew on a regular basis though, just when I can find the time and feel like making a few tiny blocks!
Today I made BR4 Candy Dish. I ordered the software and got it today so I played all afternoon :D

i started sewing with the civil war fabric i had. from a BOM that i got half off packs, after they were done. but i noticed on the software, that brenda has such beautiful pinks, and blues, reds, etc. for some reason i thought a lot of the material bck then was sorta muted. might have to go looking for some more material. i was sorta clicking on each block, and trying to determine the color, and going from there. i will go see that orgin. jane quilt. printed out my weeks blocks for 2 and 3, and gonna start going down the line. did any one else try and make a purist DJ quilt?
