If you are not from the south, you may not have this recipe...It does taste like chicken...I can only get the meat when I go to south Louisiana..It really is delicious....
1 pound tail meat
2 eggs beaten
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
1/2 teaspoon Tony's seasoning
cornmeal
cooking oil
Thinly slice meat into finger strips.Add seasonings to eggs.Coat meat with egg batter and then into cornmeal..Fry in HOT oil until brown...Makes 2-4 servings....ENJOY...

A couple years ago, when Ohio State played the Florida Gators for the football national championship, many of the Ohio grocery stores had alligator meat for sale. It was a very popular thing to serve in Ohio during that game, or at least for the first half of the game. By late in the second half, it was obvious that the Gators ate the Buckeyes, not the other way around.

That was the only time I ever saw alligator meat in Ohio.

I love alligator meat.

When I still lived in FL, we would have a local Swampfest. Gator tail on a stick... Gosh, I miss home!!! :)

Funny, my family was talking about eating 'gater last night! We wondered how it tasted! My husband said somewhere between chicken white meat and dark.

Thanks for the recipe. I have it available at many stores around here, but it just doesn't make it into my cart! :)
