My ten year old Brother is 'Penny' since she did not cost very much, but works as well as the day I bought it for pennies. My new Brother machine is 'Pearl' since she is my first quilting machine, and is very precious to me.

My Pfaff 1475 cd doesn't have a name (I just think of her as Princess - and with the cost of repairs she is a Princess). My 30 yr old Wards (not even in business any more), is Monkey (hmmm wonder why?? - love this little baby). And my Singer (treadle), is the Iron Queen. She's 102 years old, but too sweet to call her a work horse. Now I also have a Brother (with all the bells), that I have never come up with anything other than Oh Brother. If anyone has a better name, please let me know.

My FB is the only one that has a name...at this current time anyway. Her name is Geneva. She was my Great Aunt Geneva's machine before she died. I have had her for 22 yrs.

Yes...I'm brain dead tonight!!!!!!!
I meant FW so dumb sometimes.

Well, we do have to feed them and sometimes they need a check up or, heaven forbid, they get sick and have to be taken in and left over night!....

Yes I do name my machines which makes my repair people kind of crazy. when I call with a question I refer to them by name and have to go and check the model. I see them as my friends. I really enjoy my time with them and care for them like friends, cleaning oiling and using care that they don't get "hurt". I also have someone to talk to other than myself when I am alone in the room and hopefully don't look as crazy to others that may overhear me. LOL!

I have a Janome6600P and a new Brother 1500D. Neither are named and I do not know where to go for names that will suit them.

My Brother is named Babydoll and my Kenmore is Katy. I recently purchased a Singer 301 in mint condition from a lady named Sandra, so I named it Sandy. I just noticed but I have named my machines using the first letter of the manufacturer-not intentionally.

I have to go through several names as it is at the nursong home where I work. To seep my machines with names would ultimately drive me crazy.
