People do not REALLY live like this ... do they??????
I've seen it on tv, but I thought they "jammed" it up a bit for the show .... this is terrible ...

Seeing stuff like that on the internet or TV makes me very nervous. I am such a neat freak that I could never have all that crap. And what is with people ordering stuff and not even opening it? Must be nice to have all that money!

Obviously this person is sick; her daughter should be trying to help her instead of posting pictures of her mess on the internet.

I do feel sorry for her. She desperately needs help. I worry about the amount of dust that she's breathing in. I think that new show on the OWN network "Just Say No" would be great for her; Peter is awesome with helping hoarders. He truly helps them understand their disease and helps them declutter their home. These pictures would be better suited sent to someone who could help her rather a forum that is only demeaning her.

The Mom definitely needs help...but I am wondering if the daughter could use some mental help too.

Regardless of what the housework police might think, this person has the right to live as she wants as it is her house. If others don't like it, no comment is necessary because they don't live there. She's not necessarily sick, she my not have enough room to satisfy her hobbies. Some people regard a super - tidy house of Mrs Clean (who bleaches her snow) as an indication of a psychological disorder as well.
It seems to me that the daughter was very disloyal to display this on the internet when she only has to move out instead of accepting the cheap rent.
