I do more sewing than quilting. Most of my quilting projects are smaller ones. (placemats, bags, hot pads, etc.) I made about 15 "snap bags" for Christmas a year ago. Some of them were smaller than the original pattern. I used golf tee fabric and all the golfers in the family liked them. They can hang on their golf bag.

I used to make clothes for my kids - lots of clothes. They are too old to see for now.

I still make all the curtains for my home. I use heavy home dec fabric and can have exactly what I want in each room (style and colors) for a fairly low cost. I can't imagine buying window treatments.

Other than quilts and curtains, I just make pillowcases and purses.

DH and I make "Grammy Jammies" for all of our grandkids every Christmas. This year we made 25 pair! Last year, I also recovered the cushions in our RV and for our deck chairs, as well as made curtains for the RV too. I made curtains for our family room downstairs. I used to sew blouses and dresses for my mother and my aunt. DM still has all the dresses I made for her about 20 years ago. I made lots of clothes for my kids, but that was when they were much younger. I prefer quilting to any other type of sewing, but am up for the challenge if the need arises. My grandkids always bring their dolls and stuffed animals to me if they need repair...

I started out sewing clothes. Then Drapes, curtains and then it was anything. I tried everything once. Then got into quilting.

I sewed 90% of the clothes my 5 children wore even after they left home. Then I made and sold things made of T-shirting and sweatshirts. I always knew I would end up quilting; I just didn't think it would take me until I was 78 to make my first one!!

I have always stitched many things and continue to do so. Right now I have an order for ten aprons for a local group that makes food gifts to deliver to those needing a "hug" in our community. I still sew bibs, change pads, burp cloths and car seat zippered covers for gifts for new arrivals and occassionally something to wear if I can't find the item or need a specific fit. I also still get lots of requests for alterations and new zippers as I once did a lot of that and really haven't forgotten how. I'd rather quilt but those coveralls needing a new zipper just keep showing up!
