Yes I watched... sob, sob, sob! My husband watched it too. Hits close to home for us also. SIL is overseas now also, comes home in about 3 weeks.

My husband was a career Army officer for 31 years, Special Forces for the last 11 years. Army Wives is so unreal as far as the wives are concerned ---I do not watch it because I've lived as an Army wife and cannot identify with this show.

I have been watching this show evre since it started. Now my husband watches as well. I think we both cried throughout this episode. I can only imagine what our troops and families are going though now. My husband was in the military during peace time and I didn't have to wory so much then. I worried a lot though when my daughter was deployed to Iraq twice during her time in the Air Force.

Same for me - I watched, I cried and I sobbed. I've also had a lot of military in my family. Thank God they are all safe and sound, out of the military now and leading successful civilian lives. How I do pray for and worry about our active-duty men and women and their families.

Does anyonw watch the show that comes on after Army Wives? It's called Coming Home and is about military members coming home and surprising their families. That show also makes me cry - but it's happy tears. Well, last Sunday's show was different - it was about an Army Combat Controller who was killed in Afghanistan while his squad was under fire and he was on the radio directing an Air Force pilot where to drop his bombs. The two men never met, but had formed a relationship on the radio during the many combat missions they shared. So the pilot decided to honor the combat controller by being the escort for his casket on its journey home. So the program was all about the friendship these men had and about the pilot meeting the family, etc. Talk about tears! I couldn't handle it, especially after Army Wives, and changed the channel after about 15 minutes. This is real life and it happens way too often. I have the greatest respect and admiration for all our military and their families and, politics aside, just wish all our soldiers could just come home.
