I use a lint remover roller. IN fact, I just finished removing CAT hair from two tshirt quilts that are headed to the quilter. My cat seems to think she has to lay on whatever project I'm working on. Guess I'll just have to put up with it, because I would miss her is she were gone. When I get them back to add the binding, I'll have to go through the same process again because she likes to be right in the middle of the quilts when I am binding them.

I use a Playtex rubber glove, it has the little nubby dots on the palm. Works great on the furniture too. (See my avatar ... she cuddles up in anything that's warm!) That is a batik purse in the making, I left the room for 2 minutes, and voila!

What is a Furminator and how where do I find one?
--------------
It is maybe the best animal brush ever. I bought one at a pet store when they were offering $5 off coupon and I love it so much I'd actually pay full price. It just gets in there and strips all the loose hair out! It acts like a hair thinner that they used to use on women who had really thick hair back in the day

I have an earlier brand of the Furminator. They are about $40 but sure work, if your cat likes it. I buy the Dollar Store lint tape rollers, by the dozen......My cat has to lay on his quilt next to my machine but the sides of the quilt end up on him. Seems much harder to get it off the edges.

The Flylady RubbaScrubba works really well too. The hair rolls right up and won't damage the fabric. PetSmart has the same kinda thing, but it's twice the price. I also have the Furminator, but just make sure there are no tangles or knots b/c it could break it. I use regular brushes first, then the furminator.
