Who cares about the edges. The birds are adorable. Msot people are blown away by anything hand-made, wonky or not.

Looks o.k. to me to send on. I'm sure your friend wil just love it. Whether she sews or not she won't care, if she is a true friend. I'll just bet she doesn't examine the sewing, but loves the fact that her friend cared enough to make something just for her. I made bunches for Christmas gifts and a few weren't the greatest, but I gave them anyway, time was limited. I love the buttons on yours.
Remember it is hand made and perfection is only truly done by "God" - even things you purchase that a done by machines in gross amounts aren't perfect. They all have some flaws, but I really see nothing wrong with yours. So send it out!!
