OK, been there done that but mine wasn't near that funny. I guess this procedure can result in "war" stories sort like childbirth often does. We all try to top each other and sometimes the "facts'" get a little distorted. hehe

I do hope those of you who are putting this off do get one soon. It's really not that awful especially compared to cancer treatments. Been there done that one too!

Or death from cancer. Sorry to be Debby Downer, but it is a real risk if you don't get the test.

I just had my first one a couple of months ago. I snorted and laughed my way through this account. The procedure wasn't so funny at the time, but looking back I can see lots of humor. Dave Barry is great at exaggerating so we can laugh at the absurd. My hubby and doctor had been on my case for a long time to get this done and now I am very glad I did it. Please, people, do it. The feeling of relief when the all's clear comes at the end is sooooo worth it. Also lots of relief knowing it doesn't have to be done again for at least 5 years!

This is SOOOOO funny! I swear Dave Barry was talking to my husband! I heard every detail of my husband's ordeal and every rocket take off! This blow by blow report of the dreaded colonoscopy is quite accurate! I was laughing so hard my tummy hurt!
