I agree that we all like to have something said about our work. so, even if its the same adjective it does make one feel good about the hard work we put into our quilts.

If everyone say's "It's beautiful" then it must BE Beautiful !! surely doesn't need anymore adjectives than that. :) :)

There are times when I want to comment, but as I read down everything that has occured to me has already been said, so I move on in awed silence-all the quilts posted have at least one quality I love!

Well....when I grade a kid's paper, I am not allowed to put "Good!" or "Great job!" on it----I have to comment on something specific....so why don't we try doing that???? It would be more fun for the posting quilter since she would know what caught your eye the most about her quilt!

Yes, often I feel repetitive but, I feel our comments are honest. There are lots of lovely things shown here and are commented on lots, but I still feel compelled to add my 'Beautiful!', too!

I'd accept any of those adjectives if said about one of my quilts, wouldn't you? ... well, except maybe "devastating!"
Thanks, lol, we needed some more words...!!!

I often comment on pictures before reading all the other responses. I like to share my first impression and I figure if other people have similar reactions, the picture poster will love hearing it multiple times... :)

Exactly, and if everyone says it's "interesting" and doesn't say it's beautiful, that tells you something, too.

I usually say whatever thought I have about it when I first see it. That isn't always the same word. It may be...

beautiful
gorgeous
exquisite
stunning
cozy
intriguing
awesome
wonderful
wondrous
great use of color
meticulously crafted
charming
amazing
excellent
perfect
very nice
a thing of beauty
cute
evocative of <something>
or some more specific phrase.

Try using the thesaurus, it's always a great help to me.
