    A lap size ready to quilt - first time on point.
    Hoping to attempt freehand butterflies in the print blocks and probably some small flowers in the 9 patches.

    I'm hoping so ... some of the practice ones look like a cross between a bat and an owl!

    What if you found a clipart picture of butterflies and tried it that way. Would that make it easier?

    Yes, been looking at stencils etc & got myself some Golden Hands quilting paper to trace - but I really want to try & freehand if I can. Every bit of paper laying around at the moment has odd looking flying things drawn on . . .

    This is so pretty! I love the on point quilts so much. Your's lays so nice and flat compared to how my first on point looked... (just think of rolling angry sea for borders)
