So I'm glad to be back in...even if it is super slow.
This happened to me tonight too. I thought the site was gone forever!!!
It seems to be working okay now.

i share your anger and frustration.

i understand that patience is a lot to ask at this point.

however, i know that they will fix all the problems; they must fix the problems.

i hope you'll join me in hangin' in there until it's all back to normal.

it isn't that i can't spend hours on end talking to myself. but i can be awfully boring.

Since I'm not anywhere near as computer literate as many on this board.... I'm just wondering if the new server realized how big and all that went on on this board with all the topics and such before committing to such a huge job in making this board run as smoothly as it was before?
I could and possibly am wrong but one would think that taking over this board was a major proposition that was not realized when the change happened.

As Patrice states so well (as usual) we need to be patient and hopefully the problems will end soon. I know we had some major storms and a few small tornados in the southeast last night and maybe that was part of the problem with those of us that live in that area. Although I see members in other areas having problems with no weather related situations. Oh well....think positively and things will hopefully be fixed in no time.

Yahoo pages are real slow to open too - not just on this board. And I've been getting a whole lot of pop-up ads even though I have a pop-up filter activated. Thought it was my PC but same on my laptop. Trouble appears to be with Yahoo. They are always messin' aroung ith things. "If it ain't broke- don't fix it"!

At one point I couldn't get it to load at all. Wonder if that has anything to do with the massive hacking that just took place on April 1st.

I know just what you mean. The last three days I have just deleted the email I received from the board because it was taking too long for each post to come up. It's a little frustrating since I only have a certain amount of time to spend here. I do hope something can be done to get it back to the way it was.

One of my kids asked me the other day...

"How in the world can an earthquake in Japan affect my internet connection here in Texas????"

I answered, "I don't know....radiation???"
