The furballs wanted out at 1am. I saw the nightcrawlers were up. I came back in got my flashlight and a bucket off the porch. Yeap, I was picking up nightcrawlers to go fishing with. And yes, I was in my jammies. True country girl! :-)

Don't get up, think about the past, things I/we have done, places been to/ lived in and try to say all the verses of Psalm 23, That is real comfort, I don't be awake for too long, if my hubby is not snoring, if he is, then it's a different story, I could be awake for hours, get up make a cup of tea, and may be sleep on the couch, nothing worse than loud snoring for keeping me awake. :(

This is a timely thread, lol. It isd 5:30 am here and I've been awake for an hour. I try to go back to sleep; when I can't, I either read or come to computer. Since I found this Forum, I love to read the posts here. Today, I even found something I oculd have bought. Real proud of myself as I resisted, lol.

From midnight to 3 or 4am is the best time for me to quilt. I work on my piecing with no phones ringing no DH telling me what he just saw on the tv or my mom coming and going through my door. Just me and my favorite tv shows and my piecing. It is when I get the most done. I can think to create when I know there will be NO interruptions.
I also play text twist or spider solitaire or minefield as a break in between sewing.
I love my quiet time to myself. Everyone thinks I am weird and they get frustrated because I usually don't go to bed til 3am and am up around 11am or noon. But that is 8 hrs just like most people just a differant time frame. My mom calls nearly every morning with an "are you up yet" and a lot of the time she calls at 10 am and wakes me up. She has always been an early riser and can't stand it that I sleep the morning away. My one son will sometimes call me at 7 am because he thinks it is funny to wake me up. He is 34! He has always been an early riser too getting up at 4 and 5am. So he "waits" until 7 to call when he wants to talk to me!
