Wanted to ask about your label - did you print on fabric with your printer? Alheimer's runs rampet in both my and DH family. Both our Mom's and my Dad had that miserable disease. We extends our prayers to you and your family. The quilt is BEAUTIFUL!

I am so glad as he passed away after 99.5 yrs on March 28, 2011. I would like to use ideas from your signed patch if you do not mind.
So sorry to hear about your Dad. Wow! 99.5 years is wonderful! I would be honored if you used the patch idea!

Here is a link I found for making your own label:

What a beautiful quilt. You did a wonderful job with it. If I were you I would ask the nursing home to let the family wash it, if that is possible.

It is beautiful.
I just finished a quilt for a friends mother-in-law who just turned 86, lost her husband to alsheimers and had to go into assisted living. She wanted so badly to finish it but couldn't. I can't wait to see the pictures when they give it to her over Easter.
